In its 9th year, the Elvis Fest and Endless Summer Karaoke Contest returns on Sunday, August 24 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will feature a full day of tributes and music in honor of the “king of rock and roll, “Elvis Presley.” The event, which is held near the anniversary of Presley’s death, August 16, 1977, will mark the 31st year since the "king" died. Elvis tribute artists perform all day and the Endless Summer Karaoke Contest will have contestants singing and moving like Elvis to vie for a spot in the finals of Karaoke Fest in September at the Los Angeles County Fair. The Jailhouse Rockers of California, a charity that raises funds for the Elvis Presley Memorial Trauma Center in Memphis, TN , will participate with various activities.Click here

National Pet Wellness Month, which is October, will be recognized at the Market Place during a two day pet event on October 11 and 12 coordinated by the Animal Assistance League of Orange County. Local animal adoption groups providing information on spaying and neutering and creating a healthy environment for adopted pets, veterinarians and other organizations aimed at keeping pet wellness will

The 11th Annual Trick or Treat Festival and Halloween Hearse Procession on Sunday, October 26 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. will once again offer free daytime trick or treating for kids in costume, gigantic pumpkin carving exhibition featuring Presidential Candidate Pumpkinheads, hearse procession through Costa Mesa with the Phantom
Coaches Hearse Club and other local enthusiasts followed by antique and classichearse and ambulance display inside the Market Place with nationally syndicated radio Dr. Demento as grand marshal and entertainer for the day. Also, Pumpkin Pie Eating Contests sponsored by HomeTown Buffet and poetry and parodies by the League of Vampiric Bards will be included.
All events are free with swap meet admission, which is $2 and free for children 12 and under.
